Austria Klagenfurt Draws with TSV Hartberg in Relegation Clash
Low-scoring match ends in stalemate
Teams remain neck-and-neck in relegation battle
SK Austria Klagenfurt and TSV Hartberg played out a goalless draw in a crucial relegation clash in the Austrian Bundesliga's Meistergruppe on Monday.
The match, which was the first between the two sides since Hartberg's 1-0 win in the regular season, saw both teams have chances to take all three points but ultimately failed to find the back of the net.
Klagenfurt had the better of the chances in the first half, with Markus Pink and Lukas Fridrik both coming close to scoring. Hartberg grew into the game in the second half and had a number of chances of their own, but they were unable to break down a resolute Klagenfurt defense.
The draw leaves both teams level on points in the relegation battle, with just three games remaining in the season. Klagenfurt are now 12th in the standings, while Hartberg are 13th.
