About the Show
"Raising Hope" is an American sitcom that aired on Fox from September 21, 2010, to April 5, 2014. Following its first season, the show received two Emmy Award nominations.
The show follows the adventures of the dysfunctional Chance family. Burt Chance (Garret Dillahunt) is a single father raising his granddaughter, Hope (Shannon Woodward), after his teenaged daughter's overdose. Other family members include Burt's parents, Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman), and his brother, Jimmy (Lucas Neff).
Despite their challenges, the Chance family is a close-knit group with a lot of love and support for one another. The show explores the ups and downs of family life with humor, heart, and surprising depth.
