Born on May 2, 1955, in Reggio Calabria, Italy, designer Donatella Versace is one of the best-known names in fashion today. She is the sister of the late Gianni Versace, who was murdered in 1997. Donatella took over as creative director of the Versace fashion house after her brother’s death. She has since become known for her own unique style, which is often described as edgy and glamorous.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Donatella Versace talked about her life and career. She said that she always knew she wanted to work in fashion. “I grew up in a family of fashion designers,” she said. “So it was always in my blood.”
Donatella Versace also talked about the murder of her brother. She said that she was devastated by his death. “I had the eyes of a killer,” she said. “I wanted to kill the person who did this to my brother.”
Donatella Versace has since forgiven the man who killed her brother. She said that she has learned to let go of her anger. “I don’t want to live with hate in my heart,” she said. “I want to live with love.”
